This is a guide to upload your own MP3 ring tones as well as many other files that you would like to put onto your phone without getting charged for them because quite frankly $3.50 for a 30 second or less clip of a song I could buy the whole song on iTunes for $0.99.
I would like to note that you will get charged for web data usage if your plan does not supply it.
I personally am using a Samsung SCH-U740 Dual-flip however many of my friends phones have also worked with this trick. I will list the phones that I personally know works.
----------------------
Ring Tones
First you need to get the music file that you would like to make a ring tone. This should be around 25-30 sec's depending on your preference but some phones will not allow longer files to be used for ring tones. I know that on my phone I can not use anything longer than 15 sec's as a text message notification.
I personally like my files to sound correct and fade in and out. I do that by editing the files with a program called Adobe Audition 3.0 however if you are not privy to this program you can use a simple slicing tool called Audacity the latest version is Audacity 1.3.6 (Beta). (http://audacity.sourceforge.net/)
Once you have the file cut down and edited to the way you would like it to be you will then need to save it to a location, I am a neat freak when it comes to organization so I put mine in a \\Desktop\Phone Uploads\Ringtones\.
This is where the second part of this is to go to http://rumkin.com/tools/sprint/ here you will find a section on the page entitled "Upload Images, Sounds, Etc." this is where you are going to link to your file. Put in the "Description" which will show up on your phone as the title of the ring tone. "Filename" is where you link to the MP3 file that you have created earlier. Click "Upload File" and you should be taken to the next page where you will be given a jump code. You will need to keep this jump code number as it will be needed to download the ring tone on your phone.
Now go onto your cell phones web browser and go to the address (http://rumkin.com/tools/sprint/jump.php" this may be a long to type so I have added it to my phones favorites for continues use.
You will then be taken to a page with an box in which you put the jump code you were given before. ""It will also give you the resolution of your phone which can come in handy if you would like to make sure your custom background images sized properly later on in this tutorial."" Input the jump code into the box and press the "Get File" button. Your phone will then ask you permission to download a file in which if you were willing to go through all this work you will want to accept.
Once you have done this you are done, the file will be downloaded after a wile and you will be able to set it as your ring tone. There is a list of jump codes that I have already made the MP3's for at the bottom of the page.
----------------------
Wallpapers
If you do not already know the resolution of your cellphone you can either look it up on the net or as I said above it will tell you if you go to the url "http://rumkin.com/tools/sprint/jump.php" on your phone. On my phone it says Unknown phone (screen size is 176x220) this means that when I make wallpapers for my phone I want it to be that res so it fits properly.
You can use Adobe Photoshop CS2 or a freebee that works just as well for making these cell phone images and is small is Portable GIMP which can be found at "http://portableapps.com/apps/graphics_pictures/gimp_portable".
Once you have the program play around editing images the way that you would like them to be you then you should save them as a JPG file. Then follow the same steps as stated above to upload a Ring Tone however with a JPG file instead of a MP3.

Business
I have been working on getting another home business going which inevitably has been sucking up quite a bit of my time, and tiring me out for the remaining time I have left in the day.
If everything goes well the IGN (IcIrIs Gaming Network) should have some steady funding for things such as:
Dedicated Web Server
Dedicated Server Box
Game Server Hosting
New Electronics
Prizes
I would love to be able to give prizes away each month if not more often. I will keep you up to date on this as it progresses.

Far Cry Mod Update
I member of the modding comminity has contacted me and would like to assist in our creation. I would like to welcome 'Anphrax' to IGN United Realizm Team.

Far Cry 2 Mod Coming Soon
I have been enjoying the simple game play and visuals of Far Cry 2 however I and another have felt that once we can open the DAT files we will be able to make changes to drastically improve the game play to the way we feel it should have been.
We will be posting it on MODDB.com and keeping things up to date on the this blog.

Game Reviews
I would like to inform you about how I plan on getting games for a non profit site.
I am wanting to keep things free and from me, a real gamer. I will never want to put ads anywhere(however the Google blogs have the ads already embedded in the site).
Once I get the console I will be putting 120 dollars away each month for game rentals from the local store. Each game I will review and post on the site. There will however be game that I would like to purchase and in which case it may be a slower month for game reviews.
Any help, either it would be posting your own reviews or donating to get more reviews would be great.
To post an article send your posting to:

I will then review the posting and submit.

Grasshopper working with Unreal Engine 3
By Brendan Sinclair, GameSpot
Goichi Suda's next game is turning into a massive collaboration. In August, it was revealed that the designer of No More Heroes had teamed up his Grasshopper Manufacture studio with Resident Evil creator Shinji Mikami and Q Entertainment to make a new action horror game. Electronic Arts also signed on to assist the project through its EA Partners program.
Now there's another partner in the mix, as today EA announced the game would be built using Epic Games' Unreal Engine 3. Beyond being notable for the news of another developer signing up to use the engine, the announcement also raises eyebrows because of the game's platforms.
EA initially confirmed the game for release on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC, and Nintendo's Wii, but Epic does not currently support the Wii. If the Unreal Engine 3 is indeed being used in all versions of the game, it could be the first time the technology appears on Nintendo's console. As of press time, a representative with EA had not returned GameSpot's request for comment.
Unreal Engine 3 has powered a wealth of current-generation titles, from blockbusters like Gears of War to critical casualties like Hour of Victory. It also has been the subject of a lawsuit from Unreal licensee Silicon Knights, which used the engine for Too Human.
[UPDATE]: When asked if the Grasshopper news meant Epic Games had begun supporting Unreal Engine 3 on Wii, company vice president Mark Rein flatly responded, "No, no Wii support in UE3."
----------------------
I am wanting to see what Grasshopper plans to do with this one the only other game that they have come out with that I know of was Killer 7 and it was a fairly ok cell shade game back on the PS2 we rented at a friends house.
The fact that they are not bringing UE3 to Wii is annoying but I guess the price you pay for the console helps decide what extent of engines the game gets. I would have like to see them make the engine work on it to bring more great game FPS's to life on the Wii but it would have to be a very dummied down version of the engine for it to run smoothly on the Wii.
Anyways I will try and keep track of what goes on with this up and coming game.
